DAY SERVICES
Personalized Support. Meaningful Days. Real Growth.
TSE’s Day Services are designed to support adults in building independence, confidence, and community connection — whether their goals are enrichment, skill development, employment preparation, or a combination of all three.
When someone begins services, we start with a conversation. What does a meaningful day look like to them? What skills do they want to build? What kind of support helps them thrive?
From there, services are customized across two primary focus areas:
Enrichment & Community Engagement
For individuals who want structure, routine, social connection, and purposeful activities, Day Services offer engaging and supportive programming at our resource centers and in the community.
Enrichment services may include:
- Community outings and inclusion opportunities
- Arts, music, and creative programming
- Health and wellness activities
- Cooking and daily living experiences
- Social development and peer engagement
- Recreational and leisure activities
These services focus on quality of life, confidence, and maintaining an active role in the community.
For individuals seeking a retirement-style experience centered around engagement rather than employment goals, Horizons Retirement Services offers structured, meaningful day programming tailored to personal interests and abilities.
Employment Skills & Personal Development Training
Some individuals choose to focus on building employment-related skills while participating in Day Services. This is not the same as job placement services. Instead, it focuses on developing the foundational skills necessary for workplace success.
Employment skill development may include:
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Time management and task completion
- Professional behavior and expectations
- Resume and application preparation basics
- Workplace safety and routines
- Soft skills and hard skill development
These skills can be accessed alongside enrichment programming or as a stronger focus within a person’s schedule.
Our structured development model, Curriculum-Based Skills Training, helps identify current abilities and build measurable growth across life skills, work readiness, and independence goals.
