PCs for People gets Award from MOHR

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month.

On October 19th,  PCs for People in St. Paul was awarded the Outstanding Employer of People with Disabilities by The Minnesota Organization for Habilitation and Rehabilitation (MOHR).

Lynn Noren, MOHR’s Chair of the Government Affairs Committee was on site to present the award to Casey Sorensen, PCs for People’s CEO.  Lynne Megan,  President and CEO of TSE, the company that supports 8 of the PCs workers, and Jim Freeman, TSE’s Employment Services Director, were both on hand as well.

The full PCs work crew watched on as Mr. Sorensen accepted the award and told his story of why disability employment is important for the whole community.

After the presentation, the whole PCs crew were treated to a celebratory pizza party, provided by TSE.
